Vermont 2021

For four unforgettable days in September we put together a group of intrepid vintage ralliers and headed to northern Vermont for several days of back roads touring. Eight cars in all including an Aston DB6, three Porsche 356’s, an Arnolt Bristol, an E Type Coupe, a Ford Thunderbird and a Mustang. Home base was the Basin Harbor Club on the shores of Lake Champlain where the accommodations were very special with all of us in charming individual cabins overlooking the lake. On day one we drove to Lake Placid and ascended Whiteface Mountain for an incredible view and for lunch! Then back to Basin Harbor on a different route, 170 miles in all. Day two was a day off to enjoy the great array of activities in the surrounding northern Vermont environs and included a cocktail cruise on the lake. The second drive on day three was to Woodstock, VT, driving south through western Vermont farmland, then east through the Brandon Forest. The return trip to Basin Harbor took us north through Middlebury, Monkton and Vergennes. Again, about 170 miles round trip. There were incredible roads and views to say the least and the camaraderie was beyond special. If you’d like to join us on our next driving adventure send us an email, and if you need a suitable vintage sports car to drive I promise you we can help!

    Matt,
Nancy and I were on your three day Basin Harbor Rally in our ‘67 E-type coupe. We had the best time. Your planning and execution were right on the mark. We especially liked the accommodations and the two rallies were perfect length. My comments on the routes are: “you no longer need to go west for fabulous touring roads. We have them right here in NE”. Please keep us on your invite list.
    Thanks Matt,
    Tom
