Since getting into the vintage car business over 30 years ago, I have always been about driving these great cars rather than cleaning them with qtips and winning trophies on a concours lawn. That’s why years ago I began organizing vintage rallies for like-minded clients and colleagues. Indeed, this October is our 17th annual “deGarmo Ltd. Fall Tour”, and just last week we ran our second (of many to come I have no doubt) “Connecticut to Vermont to Connecticut” rally… to rave reviews.
The Vermont tour began in Lakeville, Connecticut and followed a pre-determined route of spectacular roads through New York and Massachusetts on our way to our overnight destination, The Woodstock Inn in Woodstock, Vermont. Day two was an off day to enjoy the environs and day three was back to Connecticut on a completely different route. The weather, the roads, the food and the company… all fantastic.
