The weather in Paris in the winter may not be the best, but the vintage car scene comes alive every February with Retromobile. Vintage car dealers and related vendors come from all over Europe to show their wares. Gregor Fisken, Lucas Huni and JD Classics were just a few of the dozens of high end dealers who had a stand this year.
The auction companies are never slow to go where the money is… Bonhams, RM Southbys and Artcurial all had auctions during Retromobile week, and all did well with very respectable sell through rates.
What gives Retromobile its special flavor, however, are all of the smaller vendors selling impossible-to-find parts, posters, model cars, car club plaques, etc., etc. Add to that the fact that you’re in Paris and that a five minute walk from wherever you are will find you a fantastic restaurant.
