Our 16th annual “Fall Tour” is in the books and it may be the best vintage driving event we’ve ever had! Attended by a few familiar faces and many new ones, the day started , as always, at Zumbach’s Coffee in New Canaan. Cars were staged, everyone got acquainted and reacquainted, then we started the 3 1/2 hour drive north on a picture perfect fall day.
The list of cars was a who’s who of great vintage sports cars: Alfa TZ1, Aston DB4, BMW CSL, Arnolt Bristol, Porsche 911, Healey 3000, 4 Cam 275 and 250 GTE Ferraris… and more. What a great group of cars.
This year’s route kept us in Connecticut mostly, traversing through upper Fairfield County and criss-crossing some of the best roads you’ll ever drive in Litchfield County. Our destination was Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT where culinary wizards Todd and Monica Brown of 109 Cheese & Wine in Ridgefield, prepared an unforgettable feast!
What a day… until next year!
