Amelia Island 2014

Perhaps this year more than ever we were looking forward to the Amelia Island extravaganza. Given the winter we’ve had can you blame us?

As always, Amelia was amazing. Unlike Pebble Beach which has 10+ events over four days creating complete overload, Amelia has three events in three days fostering a very relaxed and fun atmosphere. The Gooding and RM auctions on Friday and Saturday respectively each had their share of market buster prices and fair deals alike.

The Malcolm Pray Collection was the buzz of the weekend with his super rare Figoni and Falaschi Delahaye bringing a whopping $6.6M… almost double the price of a similar car not too long ago. The Concours on Sunday was just fantastic. Our friend  Ralph Marano brought 10 of his custom bodied Packards; There was a Zagato class that was simply to die for with our colleague Mark Allin showing our favorite… a Zagato bodied Ferrari 250TDF. And out client and pal Walter Scott of Vermont won his class with his rare and gorgeous 1955 Arnolt Bristol.

Our reservations are already made for next year.. if you’ve never been… go!!

Is that Morgan that you are offering for sale a four-seat version? Where is the spare tire stored, or is there one?
