Details
This 1993 Jaguar XJR-S is #49 of 100 cars built by JaguarSport for the US market, 50 of which were coupes. JaguarSport was a joint venture between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing, and each XJR-S was hand-built with a TWR-modified 6.0-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. This example is finished in Flamenco Red over Cream leather upholstery and is equipped with a factory aero kit, a limited-slip differential, 16″ alloy wheels, heated power-adjustable front sport seats, a cassette stereo, a Cellular One car phone, cruise control, a K40 radar detector, and automatic climate control. Work performed recently reportedly consisted of repainting the body, servicing the air conditioning system, changing the oil, and replacing the headliner, oxygen sensors, and trunk struts.
The car is said to be one of two examples finished from the factory in Flamenco Red (CFH) and was reportedly repainted in March 2021. It is equipped with an XJR-S-specific aero kit including color-matched bumper covers, side skirts, and a raised rear spoiler. Additional details include headlight washers, tinted taillights, and quadruple exhaust outlets.
Silver-finished 16″ Speedline wheels wear 225/50 front and 245/50 rear General G-Max RS tires. The XJR-S was equipped from the factory with an upgraded suspension utilizing specially-tuned Bilstein shocks and TWR springs. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin features heated and power-adjustable front seats upholstered in Cream leather (NDR) joined by darker carpets. Burl wood trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels, and additional appointments include JaguarSport-branded doorsill plates, automatic climate control, an onboard computer, power windows and locks, a Cellular One car phone, a concealed K40 radar detector, cruise control, and a cassette stereo.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames JaguarSport-branded instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 51k miles.
