We participated again in the Lime Rock Park Concours on September 2nd. This used to be a real local yokel kind of show… some cool cars would show up, so would some real junk. Then Murray Smith took charge and wow… what a difference. There were some incredibly rare road and race cars that were part of the show. The show was dedicated to Sterling Moss and not only was he in attendance, but many of the cars he raced in were there too, brought out of museums and private collections to honor the man. It was unforgetable to listen to him speak to the reverent crowd as he passed by each of his old race cars on display and recall in vivid detail the races he ran in them.
Great shots, Matt. We’ve only been going to the show for the past 6 or 7 years and it is always the highlight of our summer, and sadly it also marks its end.
