1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible
Details
In 1940 Ford introduced several new features, not the least of which was this spectaular body and grille design. Powered by a 221 cubic inch flathead V8, this wonderful design has become perhaps the most sought after pre-War model that collectors and enthusiasts covet. It was purchased by the current owner, a good friend and client of deGarmo Ltd., in 2012. Since then the car has been driven regularly on sunny weekends, accruing several thousand trouble free miles during his ownership, evidence of the meticulous care he has lavished on the car over the last 13 years. Finished in Garnet Red with a tan canvas top and a tan interior, it was beautifully restored some years ago and still shows as an immaculate, rust free driver. The owner has made a few tasteful and desirable upgrades, including: triple Stromberg carburetors; Offenhauser manifold and heads, Fenton cast iron headers; dual exhaust; dual master cylinder; an aluminum radiator for maximum cooling power; a Power Gen alternator that functions perfectly and looks like an original generator; plus the car has been properly converted to a 12 volt system. This is a true turn key car, it drives beautifully and is a proven reliable cruiser. Ready today to tour or to show, or both! Asking $39,500.
