Here’s a wonderful example of the iconic Mercedes 280SL “Pagoda”. It’s a very original, low mileage car… one repaint about 25 years ago, otherwise extremely original. Finished in Dark Red (Code 542) with Congac Leather, it features a very rare and desirable 4-speed manual transmission. If you’ve never driven a 280 with a 4-speed, you should! It transforms the car from a boulevard cruiser to a real sports car. Panel fit is exceptionally good, fender notches are intact. No corrosion or damage anywhere. There are a few areas where the paint is showing its age (photos available), but it would be best described as patina of normal aging. Hard and soft top are in perfect condition. The car comes with factory manuals, all original tools, jack and spare, as well as the factory original Becker Europa radio. And.. there is extensive and comprehensive documentation going back over 30 years. It’s had a number of owners since 1971, but clearly all of them have taken exceoptionally good care of the car.
