1955 Porsche 356 Speedster
Details
This is one of the most highly decorated Speedsters in the world today. It was found in a garage in eastern Connecticut in the early 1990’s by Porsche expert Pete Bartelli. Pete brought the car to the much revered Porsche shop owned by John and Ray Paterek in Chatham, NJ for a full restoration. The goal was to make it a national level concours winner… and that they did. After the restoration it went to the 1997 Porsche Parade in San Antonio where it won the two top awards: “The Grand Award For Restoration” and “People’s Choice”. Then in 2005, as a past Parade winner, the car was invited back to The Parade in Hershey, PA at the 50th Anniversary of the PCA where it won the “Honorary Judges Award”. The lead judges who bestowed this honor were none other than Peter and Wolfgang Porsche. High praise indeed. These three awards constitute a “Triple Crown” that, to our knowledge no other 356 has ever achieved. The car has been used sparingly since all the concours fireworks, but it’s been stored properly and maintained to perfection. The car comes with its flawless original tool kit and owner’s manual, plus all weather equipment and of course concours trophies and ribbons are included in the sale/SOLD
